The Fire Safety Managers’ Association Singapore (FSMAS) was founded on 17 March 1989.

PASMA, the international not-for-profit association for the mobile access tower industry. Representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users, it provides and oversees the industry standard training scheme and is a major publisher of safety-related knowledge, information and guidance.

Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO)

Established in 1975, SISO has more than 1,000 members who are workplace safety and health officers as well as specialists in occupational safety, health and environment, fire safety, occupational hygiene and ergonomics. SISO’s mission is to enhance competency and promote and uphold high standards of professional practice among its members.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF)

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the widest sense – through providing technical advice and information; through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards; and through safety initiatives and training programmes. IPAF is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members, which include manufacturers, rental companies, distributors, contractors and users. IPAF members operate a majority of the MEWP rental fleet worldwide and manufacture about 85% of platforms on the market.

The National Safety Council of Singapore (NSCS)

The National Safety Council of Singapore (NSCS) is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) with the objective of promoting safety in all areas of life in Singapore including safety at work, safety on the roads, safety in the home and safety in recreational activities and sports and the community in general.

OUR MISSION

➤ To share information on WSH National Emphasis Programs, Regulatory Agenda, and opportunities to participate in the rule making process

➤ To convene or participate in forums, roundtable discussions, or stakeholder meetings on construction safety issues, transportation safety issues, or best practices in injury and illness prevention programs, and to help forge innovative solutions in the workplace or to provide input on safety and health issues.

➤ To encourage worker participation in workplace safety and health by developing a sample policy for employers focused on encouraging worker engagement in hazard identification and developing a best practice document for training and engaging workers on hazard identification and control.

The Singapore Contractors Association Limited (SCAL) is a not-for-profit organisation representing more than 3,000 construction firms and allied businesses in Singapore. 

Since 1937, SCAL plays a pivotal role in being the voice of the construction industry in Singapore through facilitating in various platforms such as bridging closer working relationships between businesses and government agencies, networking events for members, recognition and awards platforms and administering programmes to drive business success.

Institution of Engineers Singapore

The Institution of Engineers, Singapore was formally established in July 1966 as the national society of engineers in Singapore. IES is the premier engineering Institution in Singapore and is often called upon by the Government to provide feedback on professional engineering matters.

Through close collaboration with the local universities and polytechnics, IES organises courses, seminars and talks for engineers and IES members to advance the continuous development of engineers.

The Institution maintains close links with professional engineering organisations both regionally and throughout the world. These include organisations in Australia, China, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States.

The Institution also represents Singapore in the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) and the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP) in promoting goodwill and fellowship among all engineers in the region and internationally.

The Singapore Red Cross is a homegrown humanitarian organisation, dedicated to relieving human suffering, protecting lives and dignity and responding to emergencies since 1949. We serve the vulnerable through our blood donor recruitment programme, home and day activity centre for the disabled, elder aid, transport aid, family life aid, community health on wheels and community first aid. We build capacity and resilience through our training academy, and volunteer and youth development. Beyond our shores, we mobilise and translate contributions from the donor community to relief and recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts, with the aim of helping communities affected by disasters.

Medical Fair Asia

Medical Fair Asia is organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia (MDA), with a well-established history since 1997, the exhibition continues to grow from strength to strength as Southeast Asia’s most established international medical and healthcare event and knowledge-hub. The Workplace Safety and Health Council
